VA OPTOMETRY AND VISOR CLINIC
One of my clearest memories from my time in the Marine Corps came in late September of 2004 following my first convoy in Iraq. We arrived back at our base just before sunrise and immediately began debriefing, unloading our gear, and storing our crew-served weapons in the armory. As we finished these tasks, the sun was just beginning to crest the desert horizon. I pulled my truck up right in front our maintenance shop (an old Iraqi Air Force hanger) and climbed onto the very top of my truck’s cab. From there I had a panoramic view of the desert sun- rise. For those of you who haven’t had to opportunity to see the sunrise in a desert, it’s an incredible thing to behold. It was an odd sensation witnessing this beauti- ful, quiet, peaceful moment in a war-torn country, with my rifle and body armor by my side, thousands of miles away from my loved ones. It’s an incredible vivid memory and one that I still hold close
to my heart. I have this memory, in part, because I’ve been blessed with good eye- sight.

The law that addresses misleading Social Security and Medicare advertising prohibits people or non-government busi- nesses from using words or emblems that mislead others.
