as the programs coming in 2017. In addition, more than $50,000 of in-kind donations supported these efforts. And this doesn’t even include volunteer hours. Miles for Memories could not do it without everyone! Thanks so much for all you do!
Individual Awards were given to
• Connie Skidmore for her tireless commitment each week to help with the details of making Miles for Memories more efficient. As a care- giver herself, the passion she brings to volunteering is contagious.
• Madi Andrew, the youngest volun- teer, delivered 373 bags to more than seven area adult care facilities to bring information about dementia to the residents and their families.
• Zach & Cameron Winsor have been stalwarts for accomplishing every- thing that needed to be done.
• Sara Meyers, St Joe Principal, for the efforts to support our Tailgate Party.
We were also pleased to recognize area teams whose dedication and com- mitment allows Miles for Memories
to meet the needs of people living
in Calhoun County. A special thank you must go out to the Harper Creek Dance Team and the Youth Challenge Academy Students. Three sets of team awards were given out but we could not have done it without all the teams that participated this year.

So what’s next for 2017?
The leadership team has adopted the following goals for 2017:
1. Implement technology enhancements
and supports to:
a) Increase the safety of people with
dementia.
b) Create a safe-return program for
the person with dementia.
c) Increase the peace of mind for
the caregiver of the person with
dementia.
2. Continue with current programs,
initiatives, as well as developing
programs.
3. Develop and strengthen new partner-
ships to expand the scope and reach of awareness to all ages.
2017 Technology Continuing Development will feature the launch of the TECH program – To Ensure they Come Home, which includes seven pri- mary components.
