Save the date for this year’s State of the Community address! This year’s event is planned for Friday, Feb. 2 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Kool Family Community Center, 200 W. Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek. We will hold this in person for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
We expect to start mailing absentee ballots to voters who requested them after January 18. The ballots are due back to your clerk’s office by 8pm on Election Day.

The biggest voting news this year is that Michigan voters have the option to vote early and in person. Michigan voters approved that change in the November 2022 election.

This event is free and open to
the public. We expect to hear from Calhoun County, Albion, Battle Creek, Marshall, and Springfield leaders about 2023 accomplishments, and what is coming in 2024.
