One of our favorite places has been Highway 55 where they have 1950’s decor with that special music playing. The kids love the music but what they really like is to have their grilled cheese sandwich and fries served in a 1950 colorful cardboard Chevy convertible.
One day after we had lunch at my house, the oldest grandson came run- ning to me, saying, “Nana, I know how old you are!”

CHERISHED BONDING TIME
Before COVID-19 hit, every Wednesday was Nana Day with my grandchildren. We would always arrange to eat lunch at a favorite restaurant or sometimes eat at my house. I have missed those precious times with my grandsons, but it is what it is and hopefully we can go back to those great fun Nana Days when this virus goes away.
Another place they like is Steak and Shake where they can actually put a car together at the table. A local Mexican food place has great salsa and they can dip chips to their
heart’s content.

And when we stay at my house, we’ll snuggle on the couch after making brownies or snickerdoodle cookies. That’s real bonding.
Well, I've always been very pri- vate about my age, as some of us are, and I asked him how he knew and
he said someone had told him. Then he looked at me with a big grin and said, “Nana, you're awfully little to be such a big number!”
Well, you know, there should be no worries for those of us who want to be private about our age, let’s just remember, it's just a number.
