F-1 engine, it is 200,000 square feet of hands-on, multi-media discovery space. Guests travel from around the world
to see unique and rare artifacts like the world’s only remaining SR-71B Black- bird and XP-55 Ascender, incredible WWII aircraft that were rescued from the bottom of Lake Michigan and are being restored in their nationally recog- nized restoration center, and to partici- pate in inspiring events featuring some of the world’s greatest STEM leaders. Guests of all ages will enjoy dozens of new artifacts, exhibits, inspiring stories of aviation heroes, a movie theater which has dozens of Smithsonian Chan- nel features showing all year, and even amusement park style rides, and flight simulators (yes, they are open for your next flight mission)!
