    Built in 1882, Tibbits Opera House is one of the oldest theaters in Mich- igan. Located in beautiful downtown Coldwater, the theatre is rich in history and ambiance and features an exquisite restored French Second Empire façade. The intimate 500-seat theater offers nearly perfect acoustics and great enter- tainment year-round.
available to students grades 3-12 is performance focused, with students honing their acting skills. The afternoon session for students grades 5-12 ex- plores technical theatre and the world of theatrical design. Both groups will work together to create a performance showcase at the end of the week.
Last year amidst the COVID pan- demic and most of the nation shuttering their venue doors, Tibbits became one of the few theatres in the country to pull off its 2020 Summer Theatre season
in a safe, outdoor space with a small, dedicated company. Known for its outstanding professional summer the- atre, USA Today labeled Tibbits Opera House one of, “10 Great Places to See the Lights Way off Broadway.”
Tibbits has become a year- round destination for movies, concerts, live theatre, and more. An Art Gallery at
Tibbits once again invites patrons to enjoy professional live entertainment outdoors for its 2021 summer season. The theatre’s 58th season will take place under the shade of an event pa- vilion, surrounded by 30 acres of lush landscape at the Ponds of Coldwater, located just minutes from the theatre. The season, chosen specifically to compliment the setting, features three musicals and a play with a variety of evening and matinee performances.

Tibbits Invites Everyone to Enjoy it’s 58th Season

 Opening with The Best of Broad- way, the fun and elegant musical revue celebrates favorite Broadway show tunes throughout the ages and runs June 16-18 and 22-25. The wistful, romantic, musical classic The Fanta- sticks will follow from June 30-July
2 and July 6-9. The charming family musical You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown brings to life the Peanuts gang July 14-16 and 20-23 with children’s pricing available. The final show of the summer, the heartwarming play On Golden Pond, runs July 28-30 and August 3-6.
Tibbits is also offering theatre work- shops July 11-16. Students interested in all things theatre, both on stage and off, are encouraged to attend one or both sessions of the week-long sum- mer workshop. The morning session,
