Amelia Earhart Play comes to the Air Zoo!
The remarkable story of Amelia Ear- hart comes to life for younger audiences at the Air Zoo this summer. This must- see play will be performed by a local high school theatre group from July 12th-14th with 2 shows each day.
A pioneer in the world of aviation, Amelia Earhart is most well-known as the first woman to fly solo across the At- lantic Ocean. She was also the first wom- an to fly a solo, nonstop flight across the United States from LA to New Jersey and from Hawaii to the US Mainland. Born in July of 1897 in Atchison, Kan- sas, she went on to briefly attend univer- sity as a pre-med student and then served as a Red Cross nurse’s aide during WWI in Toronto, Canada. Shortly after the war, Amelia found her passion for flight.
Amelia Earhart will forever be re- membered for her dedication and ad- vancement of women in aviation. This can’t-miss production of a true avia- tion pioneer is included in the price of Air Zoo admission.
