As you know, active, reserv- ist, department of defense employees, and Veterans live in every community in our country, and we are honored that these men and women call the greater Battle Creek area home.We bring together a wide range of people representing organizations,62nd Military Appreciation Luncheonservices, military, community at large, and individuals from outside the community to this event. The event features a keynote speaker, tribal Vet- erans and drum, Cereal City Concert Band, we also recognize several oth- er military, Veterans’ Affairs, and De- partment of Defense recognitions and accolades.The community is invited to join us as we honor the service and sacrifice of members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, VA, DLA, Nation- al Guard, and a special community award.Our event aims to provide you as community members with a basicunderstanding of the mission of each of our local services and the benefits that each brings to our community as well as what support is needed for the quality of life and health of our mil- itary communities and their families.This event reminds us of the import- ant role the U.S. Armed Forces have played in the history and development of our country.
